Robert Sentner
For over thirty years, I have represented businesses in complex litigations and arbitrations in New York and around the world. My cases have arisen out of computer distribution agreements in the Middle East, construction and energy projects in Turkey, Africa, India, and the United States, and financial frauds and breaches of contract in Eastern Europe, Asia and the United States. I have led arbitrations successfully to final awards in London, Paris, New Delhi, Stockholm, Geneva, and New York, and have tried numerous commercial bench and jury trials in New York federal and state courts.
I am a hands-on lawyer. I thrive on digesting complicated facts and law and advocating my clients’ interests zealously. As lead lawyer on a case, I fully immerse myself in learning the details of my client’s business and the case facts, as well as the legal nuances. This knowledge of the case and attention to detail has greatly contributed to my success in arbitrations and court trials.
Prior to forming Sentner Safran, I headed a major law firm’s International Disputes Team for many years.

I obtained my law degree from Boston University School of Law and my Bachelor of Arts degree from Hobart College. I am proud to have been a member of Hobart’s National Championship Lacrosse Team of 1980.
